City Clerk's Office

The office of the Coeur d'Alene City Clerk is a public-service division that maintains a complete and accurate record of council proceedings; preserves official city records; manages Sunshine Law reports for municipal elections; provides administrative support to the city council, and provides prompt and courteous service to city residents, the City Council, and city staff. 

The City Clerk is responsible for the preparation, reproduction, distribution, and archiving of the city council agenda, agenda packet material, other related documents, and council minutes.

City Council Meetings

Held the first and third Tuesdays of every month, at 6:00 PM in the Library Community Room.

Public Records Requests

As custodian of city records, the City Clerk serves as the official record-filing center for all city resolutions, ordinances, contracts, minutes, and documents adopted by the City Council. The clerk handles requests for copies of, or information regarding, official city documents.

What is a Public Records Request?

A public records request, sometimes referred to as a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, allows residents and members of the public to request access to government records that are available under Idaho public records laws.

Processing Time

Most requests are processed within 3 to 10 business days. 

After You Submit Your Request

You will receive a confirmation email from JustFOIA, the City's public records request system. The email will include your request number and security key, which you can use to track the status of your request online.
