The consolidated plan guiding the next 5 years of funding for the City's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program was available for public review from July 22-August 15, and again from August 25-29. A public hearing was held at the regular meeting of the City Council on August 15, 2023 at 6pm in the Library Community Room (702 E. Front Ave.). The consolidated plan guiding the next 5 years of funding for the Community Development Block Grant was available for public review from December 15, 2017 to January 16, 2018. The Draft 5-Year Consolidated Plan was approved by the Mayor and City Council on January 16, 2017, was submitted to HUD for official review, and was officially accepted. It is always important to remember that, as a federal program, CDBG funds must comply with the following three National Objectives. Eligible activities will:
Aid in the prevention or elimination of slum and blight; or
Provide benefit to low and moderate-income persons; or
Meet a certain community development need having a particular urgency
