The Health Corridor master plan and economic feasibility study have been completed by the HDR team. The Planning Commission made a recommendation to the City Council that the urban renewal plan for the Health Corridor Urban Renewal Project is in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan on November 18 at a special call meeting. The City Council held a public hearing on November 19. There was a second reading of the ordinance and a decision made by the City Council at their December 3 meeting to form the new Health Corridor urban renewal district.

The City of Coeur d'Alene and ignite cda want to extend our thanks to everyone who attended the design workshops/charrettes for the Health Corridor Master Plan the week of July 9th. Your input was the driving force behind the draft and final concepts. The Project Purpose is to create a master plan for a vibrant health-based community development and evaluate economic feasibility of an implementable Urban Renewal District (URD) that delivers community value. The study is slated to be completed by fall 2019. The ignite cda board and City Council will make decisions on forming a new district by the end of the year.
