The City of Coeur d'Alene partnered with CDA2030 (a non-profit organization that has since dissolved) and Community Builders (CB) to:
In late 2017, the City applied and was selected for technical assistance from CB. Through this technical assistance, CB, the City and CDA2030 engaged the community in discussions about the future of East Sherman Avenue. The project was funded through a combination of funds from CB and the City.
Based on community input and feedback from the East Sherman Leadership Committee, a draft revitalization plan for East Sherman was produced. While the plan has not been adopted, it has helped inspire new development, adaptive reuse, and redevelopment of properties along East Sherman and Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive. It also serves as an informational guide on funding opportunities and recommends possible changes to the zoning code.
The plan is available for review at this link: East Sherman District Revitalization Plan (Dec 2019 DRAFT) – reduced size PDF (10MB)
