Coeur d’Alene Arbor Day Celebration – Friday, April 17th at Coeur d'Alene City Park

The City of Coeur d’Alene will hold its annual Arbor Day celebration on Friday, April 17th, 2026, with 14 tree plantings at City Park, located at 415 Fort Ground Drive from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM. Coffee and donuts will be available for planting volunteers. A tree seedling giveaway booth will be open from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM with seedlings available to the public. The City will also be raffling off 2 larger scale trees (this is a free raffle for those in attendance). The drawing will take place at 12:00 PM. The City of Coeur d’Alene will be celebrating its 42nd consecutive year as being recognized as a Tree City USA.

There will be tree information, door prizes and donuts and coffee are sponsored by TBA.

The City of Coeur d Alene, in conjunction with the Arbor Day Organization of North Idaho delivers seedlings to all 4th grade students in the North Idaho Area. The Arbor Day Organization of North Idaho has given away over 75,000 trees (more than 70 different species) to local 4th graders since 1987.

This event is open to all who wish to come celebrate Arbor Day. The tree planting will take place at 10:00 AM. The ceremony will follow around 11:00 AM. Seedlings, donuts and coffee will be provided to all who attend on a first come, first serve basis.

In 2025, the City of Coeur d’Alene Urban Forestry office organized the planting of 12 trees at Persons Field on Arbor Day. They also assisted North Idaho College with their tree seedling giveaway on Saturday April 26th at the Molstead Library on the North Idaho College campus as part of their Tree Campus USA recognition.
