Coeur d'Alene Parks and Recreation Department Mission Statement 
To actively strive to provide a quality park system that offers a diverse range of experiences and preserve local resources while providing a safe, pleasant, and enjoyable environment; and to provide a comprehensive recreation program designed to fulfill the leisure time interests and recreational desires of our community.

The Coeur d’Alene’s Parks Department maintains 587 acres, 32 parks, natural open spaces, trails, cemeteries, the urban forest, and municipal buildings.
