Mayor Proclaims "Coeur d'Alene Little League Day" on Friday, August 17

Mayor Steve Widmyer has proclaimed Friday, August 17, as “Coeur d’Alene Little League Day” in recognition of the Coeur d’Alene Little League team’s recent win at the Northwest Regional Little League tournament, becoming the first Little League team from Coeur d’Alene to advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. 

 

The Coeur d’Alene Little League is a non-profit youth baseball organization that is chartered and recognized by the Little League International organization.  Mayor Widmyer said, “The Coeur d’Alene Little League represents the outstanding tradition of excellence of our community’s youth athletes and the unwavering pride and spirit that are at the heart of the Coeur d’Alene community, and I encourage all Coeur d’Alene citizens to congratulate the members of the team, coaches, and parents of these fine young athletes for their outstanding win at the Northwest Regional Little League tournament, and to extend their best wishes and support for an equally successful performance at the Little League World Series event in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.”
