The City of Coeur d’Alene will hold two public participation workshops in preparation for the development of its future 5-Year Consolidated Plan which will guide the use of funds for its annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, issued from the Housing and Urban Development Agency (HUD). The public workshops will include discussions of the funds spent in past program years and will encourage citizen input about current needs and spending priorities.

The public participation workshops have been scheduled for 12:00 p.m., November 2, 2017, at the Coeur d’Alene Library, 702 E. Front Avenue, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814 and at 6:00 p.m., November 30, at the Boys and Girls Club, 925 N. 15th St., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814.

Prior to the City’s final adoption of the CDBG’s 2018-2023 Consolidated Plan, a public hearing will be held before the Mayor and City Council to present the Consolidated Plan goals, proposed activities, estimated annual funding the City expects to receive, and the expected beneficiaries. This public hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. on January 16, 2017, at the Coeur d’Alene Library, 702 E. Front Avenue, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814.

Verbal and written comments about the CDBG’s Draft 2018-2023 Consolidated Plan will be accepted during the hearing and between December 15, 2017—January 16, 2017.  Written comments can be submitted to the CDBG Grant Administrator Michelle Cushing, City Hall, 710 E.
