"The Monument to Peace and Unity"

Artist:  Ai Qiu Hopen of Humanity Memorial, Inc.

Location:  Four Corners Intersection of Northwest Blvd, Government Way, and Fort Grounds Drive

"The Monument to Peace and Unity" was created by artist Ai Qiu Hopen, and commissioned by the City of Coeur d'Alene's Arts Commission in 2020.  The art piece is located at the gateway to downtown Coeur d'Alene, the historic Fort Grounds neighborhood and the Higher Education Campus.  The art was created to be a welcoming of all people to our City.  It demonstrates Coeur d'Alene's long-standing commitment to the dignity and worth of every individual and this community's commitment to eliminate racism and prejudice.  "The Monument to Peace and Unity" was dedicated on September 23, 2022.
