Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Funding FY 2017
The Coeur d’Alene Police Department has applied for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Local Solicitation on Thursdat, August 3, 2017. This is a formula disparate grant that allows law enforcement funds to improve programs or technologies within set criteria. This year’s allocations are $42,727 for Coeur d’Alene Police Department and $21,303 for Kootenai County for a total of $64,030.
The funds will be used in cooperation with Kootenai County Sheriff's Office to purchase needed technical hardware to upgrade the Computer Aided Dispatch / Records Management system in use throughout the County by Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS agencies.
