City of Coeur d’Alene Announces Appointment of Greg Yeager as Chief of Police

The City is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Yeager as the new Chief of Police for the City of Coeur d'Alene.  Yeager has accepted the conditional offer, contingent on the successful completion of the required background process, and has an expected start date of June 1, 2026.

Yeager brings more than thirty years of law enforcement experience to the City of Coeur d’Alene.  Throughout his public safety career, his experience has demonstrated his ability to lead with integrity and transparency, be committed to strong community relationships, operational excellence, and a continued commitment to community safety.
