City of Coeur d’Alene Announces Mayor McEvers Farewell Reception

The City of Coeur d’Alene will host a farewell reception on Friday, December 19, 2025, to honor Mayor Woody McEvers and his many invaluable contributions to the community. Friends, colleagues, and residents are invited to join the celebration from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Library Community Room.

Mayor McEvers, has served the City of Coeur d’Alene with dedication and distinction since 1997.  Prior to his role as Mayor, Woody served on the City’s Traffic Safety and Planning Commissions.  He ran his first campaign for City Council in 2001 and began his service as a Councilmember in 2002, serving through 2024, when he was appointed as Mayor. Additionally, since 2016, he has also contributed his time to the Lake City Center, advocating for senior citizens and the Meals on Wheels program.  

Mayor McEvers has cherished his time serving the community and is now looking toward retirement.  The farewell event will provide an opportunity for community members to share their appreciation and extend their well wishes as he enters retirement.
