Mayor Woody McEvers wishes to express his heartfelt gratitude to the residents of the City of Coeur d'Alene for their overwhelming support of the recent General Obligation Bond, which will replace aging fire apparatus for the City’s Fire Department and modernize our fire stations. “This is a proud moment for our community. By approving this bond, the people of Coeur d'Alene have made a clear and powerful statement---we value the safety of our neighborhoods and our firefighters.”

The bond will enable the City to invest in modern, reliable fire apparatus that will enhance emergency response capabilities and ensure that firefighters have the tools they need to protect lives and property.

“Our Fire Department is a vital part of public safety in Coeur d'Alene,” McEvers notes. “This investment ensures that we can continue to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, now and into the future.”

Mayor McEvers also acknowledges the collaborative efforts of City staff, Fire Department leadership, Local 710 leadership, and community advocates who helped inform the public throughout the bond process. “Thank you for your trust, your support, and your commitment to making Coeur d'Alene a safer place for everyone.” ###
