POSTPONED -CITY OF COEUR D’ALENE ANNUAL LEAF PICK-UP PROGRAM

The City of Coeur d’Alene Streets & Engineering Department has made the difficult decision to postpone Leaf Fest 2022.  The extended forecast of very cold temperatures is not conducive to a successful program.  The trees continue to hold their leaves, the ground temperature has dropped significantly, and the sweeping equipment will not be able to operate efficiently in the current conditions.

If an opportunity arises later during the winter season that would allow crews to start and finish Leaf Fest, the City will revisit the program.  Late winter/early spring will most likely afford the best opportunity to complete the program throughout the City.

Please remember that residents are welcome to take their leaves and/or needles to the Kootenai County Transfer Station located at 3330 N. Ramsey Road.  We also ask residents to be mindful as we move into the winter months to assist with keeping storm drains open and clear.

City Crews will continue to address winter driving conditions throughout the City.  Information on road conditions is greatly appreciated and citizens may report concerns by visiting the City’s website at cdaid.org, or by calling the Streets & Engineering Department at 208-769-2233, Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
