A new piece of public art will be dedicated at 12:00 Noon, August 18.  The statue, “The Suffragist,” is located on the sidewalk next to McEuen Park at 6th Street & Front Avenue.

“The Suffragist,” created by local artist Terry Lee, commemorates women who worked side-by-side with men to build our community.  The dedication celebrates 100 years since the ratification of the 19th Amendment giving women the right the vote.  The statue is located next to the extremely popular “American Worker,” “Idaho Farmer,” and “Idaho Lumberjack” statues, also created by Terry Lee.
