During a daylong fundraising event on Wednesday, Daybreak coffee at Ramsey Road and Prairie Avenue raised $12,687 for the family of Coeur d’Alene Police Sgt. Greg Moore who was killed in the line of duty earlier this week.

“I am so happy that it turned out the way it did,” said Marisa, owner of the coffee stand. “It definitely exceeded my expectations.”

Nine Daybreak employees and Marisa served hundreds of people during the fundraiser. All proceeds, including tips, went to the Moore family. The Coeur d’Alene Police Department expressed gratitude towards Daybreak.

“Our officers are so touched by her efforts and so thrilled with the amount of money raised for Officer Moore’s children,” said Coeur d’Alene Police Sgt. Christie Wood.
