Emergency Minor Home Repair


The City of Coeur d'Alene Administers an Emergency Minor Home Repair & Accessibility Improvement Program (EMRAP) as part of the CDBG Grant.

EMRAP Grant Program Overview


The City of Coeur d'Alene has grants available for up to $5,000 for emergency repair/accessibility improvements and sidewalk repair/replacement for low-to-moderate income resident homeowners. Grants are also available up to $10,000 for roof repairs/replacement, and for conversion from septic to city sewer, and failing sewer or water laterals, grants are available up to $20,000.  The purpose of the program is to help low-to-moderate income homeowners correct building conditions that threaten the health and safety, or the soundness of the home.

Household income (Section 8 Income Limits) for the program may not exceed the amount for the corresponding household size listed here: Please use the below figures as rough estimates as figures are updated periodically. See the HUD Income Limits to verify eligibility. 

Non income earning assets may not exceed $35,000. Applicants must certify that their non income earning assets do not exceed $35,000.  Excluding the value of the primary residence, income earning real estate investments (revenue derived from rental property is counted under income), qualified retirement savings (revenue derived from retirement savings is counted under income), household furnishings and cars.
