Panhandle Parks Foundation names new director

The Panhandle Parks Foundation Board is thrilled to announce that Michael Morris has been hired as the Executive Director and Jenny Gray will be the Executive Assistant. The community is invited to meet the new staff and learn more about the Panhandle Parks Foundation Wednesday from 4:45-5:30 p.m. at Community 1st Bank, at Hwy 95 and Hanley Avenue, Coeur d’Alene.

Morris was raised in Bend, Oregon, and graduated from Mt. View High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a focus on computer information systems from Oregon State University.

Gray was born and raised in Coeur d’Alene. She has a bachelor’s degree in Resource Recreation and Tourism, with minors in Urban Forestry and Parks, Protected Areas, & Wilderness Conservation

“I’m pleased to welcome Michael and Jenny to the Parks Foundation and look forward to working with them both on exciting parks projects,” said Coeur d’Alene Parks and Recreation Director Steve Anthony.

The Panhandle Parks Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 2003 to support the development of parks, open space and recreational opportunities in North Idaho.
