Coeur d’Alene Mayor Steve Widmyer and Council President Woody McEvers recently sat down with Coeur d’Alene Police Department officials to discuss the department’s School Resource Officer program.

The discussion included the tremendous success of the SRO program, how it all got started, the benefits of having a police presence in the schools, and how the role of an SRO differs from regular police duties.

The Coffee with the Mayor SRO show is now airing on cable CDA-TV nd can be seen on Sundays and Wednesdays at noon, Mondays and Fridays at 12 a.m., and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
