Community Opportunity Grant applications accepted until November 10

The City of Coeur d’Alene has issued a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) to invite competitive proposals for projects or services that benefit low-to-moderate income people or neighborhoods, and/or promote job creation/economic development which would impact low-tomoderate income employees.

Any individuals, profit or nonprofit organizations, business or governmental agencies may submit a proposal for funding under the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Funding for the City’s CDBG Program is provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), (reference 24 CFR Part 570).

Applicants must comply with all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations. An educational workshop will be conducted on October 30, 2017 at the Coeur d’Alene Library from 12:00pm-1:00pm in the Community Room, located at 702 E. Front Ave. Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.

The workshop will provide basic information regarding the City’s CDBG Program, expectations for proposals under this NOFA, and provide an opportunity to ask questions regarding the project application and procurement process.

An additional hour of technical assistance will be provided at the same location, the Coeur d’Alene Library, November 8, 2017 from 5:00pm-6:00pm.

Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m., local time, on November 10, 2017, to the City of Coeur d’Alene, Attn: Michelle Cushing, 710 E. Mullan Avenue, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814-3958.
