Fire

Part-Time Department Specialist in the Fire Department to provide administrative, secretarial and clerical tasks.  The duties include: providing superior customer service in person or via the telephone, creating, reviewing and processing documents and records, identifying and correcting errors and omissions on documents received from staff, and/or public, performing data entry, maintaining records, making arrangements for meetings, maintaining office inventories, distributing mail and other related duties, while paying attention to detail. The best fit for this position will be an organized, self-starter, independent individual who will also cross train and act as back up for the Administrative and Executive Assistants.

The position requires a High school diploma or GED equivalency certification and 1-2 years experience in administrative work, preferably in a government setting or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.

Starting wage is $14.12 per hour.  Benefits are limited to PERSI Retirement and pro-rated vacation and sick accruals. 29 hours per week Monday-Friday.

Parks
Ground Maintenance Workers. $11.00 per hour. Part-Time Evening Custodians. Building Maintenance/Parks Department. Starting hourly wage is $10.00, 25 hours per week 5:00-10:00pm or later, non-benefited position with the exception of PERSI Retirement.  Must be able to pass a background check.  Requires strong custodian background and light maintenance work experience.  City of CDA Job Application.  Open Until Filled and continuously accepted. 

Police
Part-time Animal Safety Officer.
20 Hours per week, $20.05 per hour (weekend hours required).  Work involves animal control, welfare and safety services. 
Benefits include: pro-rated vacation and sick accruals and membership into the Persi State Retirement program.  Work involves animal control, welfare and safety services.
Requires high school diploma or GED and 1 year of  field experience in animal control or a related field; or any equivalent combination  of experience  and  training necessary to perform the work.

 Police Officers. (Lateral and Post Certifiable)The City of Coeur d'Alene is seeking highly motivated Police Officer applicants committed to public safety and protecting the citizens of our community. Patrol Division personnel work 10 hour and 40 minute shifts in a 28 day work cycle, during which officers work five days on/four days off with five days off every third rotation. A generous benefit package is available and membership in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI) and Social Security is required.  Current entry level starting hourly wage is $23.39.  Lateral applicants will begin at a minimum of $24.56 to a maximum of $28.43, dependent on previous sworn experience and agency size.  Must be 21 years old at time of testing.  Job application and announcement is attached (Click on Blue Police Officer link above), or City Hall, 710 E. Recreation 
Part-Time Swim Instructor.
Swim instructor experience and lifeguard experience preferred. 
Must be first aid/CPR certified.  Hourly wage is $15.00.

Part-Time Sports Officials The city continuously accepts applications from those interested in officiating basketball and soccer.  Starting hourly wage is $9.00, 6-8 hours per week.  Requires confident personality, ability to work with parents and coaches and sports knowledge and background.

Streets

Full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.
