Pachysandra terminalis
An evergreen sub-shrub used as a groundcover in shade. Spreads by underground runners. Leaves are rich dark green, 2-4 inches long, in whorls atop stems. ‘Variegata’ has leaves edged with white. Small fluffy spikes of fragrant white flowers in summer; white fruit follows. Give plenty of water while plants are getting established. Feed during growing season for best color. Spreads moderately but is not aggressive or weedy.
