
Deanna Lee Goodlander was born and raised in the City of Coeur d’Alene. Her father, Orrin Lee, was the first President of North Idaho College (NIC). She attended NIC, the University of Idaho, and graduated from Boise State University with a degree Communications. Starting her service to the City Council in 1998, Goodlander serves on the Public Works Committee, as Board member and Treasurer of Panhandle Area Council, and City Council liaison to the Arts Commission.
Goodlander partners with her son, Philip, in various business interests and enjoys her work with the city. She is a JC International Senator (the first woman so honored in Idaho) and is a past JCI Senate President. She has chaired the Kootenai County Junior Miss Program and the Coeur d'Alene Junior Miss Program. Goodlander is a Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce Commodore and was recognized as the 1992 Citizen of the Year by the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce. She is a board member of the Lake City Senior Center.
Deanna's, and her late husband Jack's, family includes Phil and Sandy Goodlander, John and Rosemary Goodlander, Rex and Kelli Callihan, and eight grandchildren.
