Qualifications to Register to Vote
You must be eighteen (18) years of age and a citizen of the United States. You must have resided in the City of Coeur d'Alene for at least thirty (30) days preceding the next election or in area that the City has annexed within thirty (30) days of election.
If you have two (2) residences, you must declare one of these to be your primary residence for voting purposes. Under no circumstances may a person be registered in both locations.
Voter Registration Methods

Any individual who is eligible to vote may register on election day by appearing in person at the polling place for the precinct in which the individual maintains residence, by completing a registration card, making an oath in the form prescribed by the secretary of state and proof of residence.
Proof
of residency may be:
- Driver's license or Idaho identification card issued by the Department of Transportation with you current address indicated on the card
- Valid student identification
card from a post secondary educational
institution in Idaho accompanied with student fee statement containing student's
valid address in the precinct together with a picture identification card
OR
- Having a voter who is registered to vote in the precinct sign an oath in the
presence of the election judge vouching that the voter personally knows that the
individual is a resident of the precinct
Same (election) day registration can not be done at a nursing
home.
Voter registrations cannot be faxed.

Idaho has "Same Day Registration." This means you can register at the polling place in your precinct on Election Day.
