When a position becomes available, the Human Resources Department is responsible for the advertising, recruiting, and screening of all job applications. Positions will be advertised in the Coeur d'Alene Press, and posted on the city's website. The applicants with the most appropriate qualifications will be invited for further testing.
Applications
- If you would like to apply for a current job opening, a City of Coeur d'Alene Job Application, is required by 5:00 p.m. on the specified filing deadline date. If information is faxed, the original application and supplemental forms must be received within 5 business days. Please be sure to read the complete job description available on-line for specific job requirements.
- Employment applications can be downloaded off of the city's website, or picked up at City Hall, 710 E. Mullan Avenue, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, 83814.

Conditions of Employment: A criminal background check, polygraph, medical and psychological examination will be required for some positions.
PERSI: Enrollment in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI) is mandatory for all employees who normally work twenty (20) hours or more per week and if employed for five (5) or more consecutive months. PERSI is a defined benefit retirement plan designed to provide secure, long-term pension benefits for employees who choose careers in public service.
