Board Makeup and Meeting Information:

In compliance with the Idaho Code, the Board of Trustees of the Coeur d'Alene Public Library consists of 5 members as appointed by the Mayor and Council of the City of Coeur d'Alene. They meet together at 4:00 p.m. on the 4th Wednesday of each month, in the Jameson Room of the Library. Library Board meetings are held pursuant to the open meeting law of the Idaho Code.

Powers and Duties of Trustees:

Along with other details set out in the Idaho Code, the Library Board of Trustees has these basic responsibilities:

To establish policies and rules of use for the governance of the library; to establish, locate, maintain and have custody of libraries to serve the city, and to provide suitable rooms, structures, facilities, etc. for library service; and control expenditures of money budgeted for the library.
