On Monday, May 27, 2013, Coeur d'Alene City Hall will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday. Other city offices and facilities will be closed as well. Emergency calls for Police, Fire, and Streets can be made by dialing 9-1-1. Other city facilities have emergency numbers and can be reached if the need arises: Sewer Back-up 769-2241 and Water 755-9729.
City of Coeur d'Alene garbage pickup will be delayed by one day due to the Memorial Day holiday. If your garbage is normally picked up on Monday, it will be picked up on Tuesday.
City Hall and other city facilities will open Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. For more information, please call 769-2300.
Specialized Needs Recreation (SNR) is seeking volunteers ages 13 and up to help with "Camp Allstars," a summer day camp for people who have special needs. The camp runs for 10 weeks, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., beginning June 10th through August 16th. Volunteers are vital to this program, so if you are seeking to have a fun and rewarding summer please call to see how you can become a volunteer with Specialized Needs Recreation. Volunteers choose their own schedule and it is not mandatory to volunteer every day.

The City of Coeur d'Alene Building Services Department would like to inform contractors and homeowners that there will be no building, mechanical, or plumbing inspections performed on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in the City of Coeur d'Alene jurisdiction due to required staff training for continuing education credits on the 2012 International Building Code Accessibility Requirements. Specialized Needs Recreation (SNR) received grants of $952 from the Coeur d'Alene Rotary Club for the Camp Allstars program and $2000 from Autism Speaks for scholarships for autistic youth to attend SNR's summer camp that runs June 10th -August 16th.
The City will commence spring street striping on Monday, May 6th as weather permits. Street striping requires clean, dry streets and reasonably warm ambient temperatures. Now that all city arterials have been swept clean and city crews have completed their equipment preparations and pre-marking of faded lines, work can begin.
