City’s Arts Commission announces winners of 21st annual Mayor’s Awards in the Arts

The City of Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission announces the following winners of the 21st Annual Mayor’s Awards in the Arts: 

• EXCELLENCE IN THE ARTS:  Harold Balazs
• SUPPORT OF THE ARTS:  Mary Lou Reed
• ARTS IN EDUCATION:  Pam Asher
• STUDENT EXCELLENCE IN THE ARTS:  Keely Brennan
• LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD:  Steve Gibbs

Mayor Steve Widmyer will present the awards on Thursday, October 13, 2016, 6 p.m., at the Hagadone Event Center.  This event is open to the public, and anyone interested in attending to support the winners is invited.

The Mayor’s Awards in the Arts are presented by the Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission and the City of Coeur d’Alene to recognize and encourage excellence in the arts and to stimulate and support awareness of the arts throughout the city.
