There are currently several openings on city boards, commissions and committees for student volunteers. Any high school student living within School District 271 and who is between the ages of 14 and 18 is welcome to apply. The deadline is September 30.

Volunteering on a city panel is a fulfilling community commitment, looks great on job applications, provides invaluable learning experiences and is an opportunity to give back. Student volunteers DO make a difference.

Students can serve on the:

• Childcare Commission

• CDA TV Committee

• Natural Open Space Committee

• Parking Commission

• Parks & Recreation Commission

• Ped/Bike Committee

• Library Board

• Urban Forestry Committee

• Arts Commission
