Beginning Monday, city street crews will begin reconstructing the intersection of Fourth Street and Montana Avenue in Midtown, which will prompt detours for several weeks. Motorists are encouraged to use Government Way or Seventh Street as alternative routes during construction.

Detour routes will be clearly marked (see map) and local access to the construction area will be allowed. Businesses will remain open and parking on Fourth Street will not be affected. The city appreciates the patience of motorists.

The work is expected to be complete no later than Sept. 1.
